Starting Platinum OEM Solutions, an industrial equipment service company built around hands-on experience, responsive support, and strong customer relationships, was not something I decided to do overnight.
For roughly 15 years, a large part of my career involved working directly with IMEAS machinery in manufacturing facilities throughout North America.
That experience included equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repairs, and working alongside the operators and maintenance teams responsible for keeping production moving every day.
Those years taught me a lot about machines.
They taught me even more about service.
When I decided to start Platinum OEM Solutions, I wanted to take what I had learned over my career — including years of IMEAS machine servicing and repair experience — and build an industrial equipment service company centered around technical knowledge, communication, reliability, and practical problem-solving.
Why I Started Platinum OEM Solutions
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work inside manufacturing facilities of all sizes.
I have seen new equipment being installed and commissioned. I have helped troubleshoot machines that were not producing the expected results. I have worked through scheduled maintenance projects and responded when unexpected equipment problems interrupted production.
One lesson has stayed consistent throughout all of those situations:
The machine is only part of the problem.
When industrial equipment stops working correctly, there are people on the other side of that problem.
There are operators waiting for the machine to run.
There are maintenance teams trying to determine what went wrong.
There are production managers watching schedules.
There are orders that still need to be completed and customers expecting those orders to arrive.
That is why good industrial equipment service requires more than simply knowing how to repair machinery.
It requires understanding what downtime means to the entire operation.
I started Platinum OEM Solutions because I wanted to build an industrial equipment service company that takes both sides of that responsibility seriously.
What 15 Years Working on IMEAS Machinery Taught Me
A major part of my technical background comes from approximately 15 years of experience working with IMEAS equipment.
IMEAS manufactures industrial machinery used in applications including wood sanding and calibrating, metal finishing, industrial automation, and the processing of other materials.
Working around sophisticated production equipment like this teaches you quickly that industrial machine servicing is rarely just about replacing a part.
IMEAS Machine Servicing Starts With Understanding the Entire System
When troubleshooting production machinery, the symptom you see is not always the actual source of the problem.
A quality issue at the end of a production line may originate somewhere else in the process.
A mechanical problem can affect product consistency.
A calibration issue can look like an equipment failure.
An electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, or process-related issue can create symptoms that overlap.
Years of IMEAS machine servicing taught me the importance of looking beyond the immediate symptom and understanding how the entire system is operating.
That means listening to the operators.
It means asking what changed before the problem started.
It means understanding what the machine is doing differently today than it was yesterday.
And it means combining that information with hands-on inspection and technical troubleshooting.
IMEAS Machine Repair Is Also About Production
Another important lesson from years of IMEAS machine repair is that the best technical solution also has to make sense for the customer’s production environment.
Manufacturing facilities cannot always approach equipment problems in a laboratory setting.
Production schedules continue.
Employees are waiting.
Material is moving — or it is not moving when it should be.
Deadlines still exist.
That reality has shaped the way I approach industrial equipment service today.
The goal is not simply to identify what is wrong with a machine. The goal is to help the customer understand the problem, the available options, and the most practical path toward restoring reliable production.
Experience With Industrial Sanding and Finishing Equipment
My experience with IMEAS machinery also gave me extensive exposure to specialized industrial sanding, finishing, polishing, and production equipment.
Over the years, I have worked around equipment and production systems used for applications involving:
Wood Manufacturing and Industrial Sanding
Industrial sanding and calibrating equipment requires careful attention to machine setup, mechanical condition, process variables, and the quality of the finished material.
Experience servicing this type of equipment has reinforced how small changes in a machine can create noticeable changes in production quality.
Metal Finishing and Polishing Equipment
Industrial metal finishing equipment presents its own set of technical challenges.
Troubleshooting may involve mechanical components, abrasives, calibration, material handling, controls, or other parts of the production process.
Understanding how those systems interact is an important part of effective industrial equipment troubleshooting.
Composite and Specialized Production Equipment
Industrial manufacturing does not always fit neatly into one category.
Throughout my career, I have also worked with machinery associated with fiberglass, composite materials, sheet processing, flattening systems, and other specialized manufacturing applications for wood, metals. plastics and rubbers,
That variety has taught me to approach every service call with the same mindset:
Understand the equipment. Understand the process. Understand what the customer is trying to accomplish.
Taking That Experience Into Platinum OEM Solutions
When I started Platinum OEM Solutions, I did not want to leave those lessons behind.
I wanted to build on them.
Today, Platinum OEM Solutions provides industrial equipment support that can include:
- Industrial machine troubleshooting
- Industrial equipment repair
- Preventive maintenance services
- Machine installation
- Equipment commissioning
- Emergency machine service
- Technical troubleshooting
- Support for specialized manufacturing equipment
My history working with IMEAS machinery is one part of the broader technical experience I bring to that work.
Platinum OEM Solutions is an independent industrial equipment service company. My previous experience with IMEAS equipment is part of my professional background and should not be interpreted as Platinum OEM Solutions representing or being an authorized service provider for IMEAS.
For information directly from the equipment manufacturer, customers can visit the official IMEAS website.
What My First Six Months as a Business Owner Have Taught Me
I knew industrial equipment when I started Platinum OEM Solutions.
What I did not fully appreciate was how much I was about to learn about everything else.
Owning a business means thinking about scheduling, travel, quoting, insurance, accounting, contracts, customer communication, marketing, technology, and planning — sometimes all in the same day.
The first six months have brought opportunities, difficult decisions, long days, and a lot of learning.
Running a Business Is Another Form of Troubleshooting
One thing I have discovered is that building a business is not completely different from troubleshooting a machine.
You observe what is happening.
You determine what is working.
You identify what is not.
You make an adjustment.
Then you keep moving forward.
Not every decision is going to be perfect.
The important thing is learning from the results and continuing to improve.
That is a mindset I learned in the field long before I became a business owner.
Building an Industrial Equipment Service Company Around Relationships
The other lesson these first months have reinforced is how important relationships are in this industry.
Industrial equipment may be technical, but service is personal.
When someone calls because a machine is down, they are trusting you with a problem that can have real financial consequences for their operation.
That trust matters to me.
As Platinum grows, I want customers to know they can expect straightforward communication about what I see, what I know, what still needs to be determined, and what I believe the next step should be.
Sometimes the answer will be straightforward.
Sometimes troubleshooting will take time.
Either way, communication should remain part of the service.
Industrial Equipment Service in Florida and Across North America
Platinum OEM Solutions is based in Florida, while my career has taken me into manufacturing facilities throughout North America.
I want to continue providing industrial equipment service in Florida while remaining available to travel when manufacturers need specialized field service, troubleshooting, commissioning, or equipment support.
That is especially important with specialized machinery.
Not every maintenance problem can be solved over the phone, and not every facility has someone on staff who has spent years working with the specific type of equipment involved.
Sometimes there is still no substitute for putting an experienced technician in front of the machine.
What I Hope to Build Through the Rest of 2026
For the rest of 2026, my goal for Platinum OEM Solutions is straightforward:
Keep building.
I want to continue supporting the customers who have put their trust in Platinum, develop new industry relationships, and create the systems necessary to provide dependable service as the company grows.
Eventually, I want Platinum to become more than one experienced technician traveling from plant to plant.
I want to build a team of skilled technicians who understand both machinery and the responsibility that comes with walking into somebody else’s manufacturing facility.
Technical ability will always matter.
But I also want Platinum OEM Solutions to be known for responsiveness, honesty, communication, reliability, and follow-through.
Building on 15 Years of IMEAS Machine Servicing Experience
Looking back, I realize that the last 15 years did more than teach me how to work on industrial machinery.
My experience with IMEAS machine servicing, IMEAS machine repair, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance helped shape how I think about customer service today.
It taught me to look at the complete system rather than only the immediate problem.
It taught me how important operators and maintenance personnel are to the troubleshooting process.
It taught me that production downtime looks very different from the customer’s side of the machine.
And it taught me that technical knowledge means more when it is combined with communication and accountability.
Those lessons are now part of the foundation of Platinum OEM Solutions.
After years of working in industrial manufacturing environments, I have an opportunity to take what I have learned and build the kind of industrial equipment service company I believe manufacturers deserve.
There is still plenty to learn and plenty to build.
To everyone who has trusted me with a machine, a service call, a referral, or an opportunity over the years — thank you.
We’re just getting started.
